She mentions that she loves the sun and the beach, which are exactly two elements that define Playa del Carmen. When the time to choose a retirement city came, Jean mentions that Florida was one of her options. However, Playa del Carmen came number one, as the cost of living is much cheaper than in other USA cities. Jean Marshal looked through several neighborhoods in Playa del Carmen, and she discovered El Cielo, a beautiful large complex with walking trails located only a 15-minute walk from the beach. She then decided to purchase property in Saas-Kib condos, and with the help of a professional real estate lawyer and a bank trust, she bought a beautiful 3-bedroom condo. Jean says she loves her apartment as it is really big and has beautiful finishes. Moreover, she enjoys living in Saas-Kib because there is a swimming pool in common areas, and it is a very private condominium. Finally, Jean says she loves Playa del Carmen, especially because of the cost of living. She highlights that there’s a big price difference in fresh fruits and vegetables, to mention a few. She feels very safe living in this charming town and loves her decision to choose Playa del Carmen for her retirement.
